Shift your energy, change your life...

Learning

firefox-grayAt  InsightfulWay  we are  dedicated  to providing  information and coaching support to those like you,  who can  appreciate the synergistic and accelerated effect of working with a coach while utilizing  energy  based methods.  It is our intent to assist you to shift your energy, perspective and habits of thought (the "cause"  and  only  thing you  can change)  so  that  you  can  experience your optimum life (the "result" that inevitably follows a shift in the cause).

Depending on your situation, you may or may not experience a "One Minute Wonder".  But nonetheless, the methods we use are the fastest and most effective means we've found to help transform limiting beliefs (and therefore the painful realities they create) into habits, beliefs, and neural pathways that are supportive of your intentions and well-being. Following is an explanation of three of the primary tools we use to help you. For more on our philosophy and why we do what we do, see "About Us" and check out "Was Einstein Wrong?"  and "The Secret War Within: Why You're Losing and How You Can Win Instead". We look forward to helping you to make the shift!

1. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

EFT was originally designed to reduce the psychotherapy process from months and years down to minutes and hours, by involving the body and energy system. From there it was discovered that astonishing physical healings also occurred. Symptoms faded for everything from Migraine Headaches to Cancer. Watch these exciting videos for a brief summary of what EFT has done for others like you. And if you're interested in ordering the documentary, Try It On Everything, click here.

Based on the premise that unresolved emotions can compromise our potential for happiness, EFT began as an effective remedy for phobias, addictions and war trauma. Vietnam Vets were finally able to sleep at night, smokers could choose fresh air, and paralyzing phobias lost their grip...all without medication!

Before long, EFT was providing relief for migraine headaches, sexual abuse trauma, and a wide assortment of everyday ailments. Fascinated by the results, founder Gary Craig taught the technique to therapists, clients and people on the street. He said “Try it on everything!”, so they did.  Since then, EFT has grown into a revolutionary healing aid, used by traditional therapists, medical professionals and alternative healers on everything from weight loss to cancer. The discovery behind this relief is that unresolved emotional issues are caused by disruptions in the body’s “subtle energies”. These disruptions inhibit our natural ability to heal, leaving us open to nagging fears, chronic pain and terminal illness.

Combining this emotional element with the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT has been able to address the causes of these energy disruptions with a gentle tapping procedure (using the fingertips). Impressive results ensue because the process addresses "causes" instead of "symptoms."

Most recently, advanced EFT applications have been demonstrated on clients with serious diseases at a series of workshops in the US and England. These workshops have drawn between 250—400 participants each, and clients have walked away with measurable relief from Parkinson’s Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, to name a few.

Complete details are given on the EFT website at www.emofree.com EFT often works where nothing else will.  To explore EFT on your own, nothing beats tapping along with Gary in the EFT DVDs.   For more information or to order your copy go to www.emofree.com You'll also find other valuable tools about EFT on our Links page.

How Does EFT Work?

EFT is sometimes called “acupuncture without needles” and generates its results by balancing the body’s energy meridians while the client “tunes in” to their problem in a gentle, conversational manner. In this way an important link is established between mind and body. It parallels acupuncture, except that needles are not used. Instead, certain meridian points are stimulated by tapping with the fingertips while the client focuses on the issue they wish to resolve.

A simple way to explain how the EFT strategies work is to use the analogy of a circuit breaker in your kitchen. Once the circuit is over-powered you cannot turn the lights on or get the refrigerator to cool until the circuit breaker has been reset. EFT resets the circuits in a person’s body and mind.

This energy based healing modality was pioneered by renowned chiropractor, George Goodheart, furthered by medical doctor John Diamond and psychologist Roger Callahan and dramatically simplified and improved by Stanford engineer Gary Craig. With the initial aid of Adrienne Fowlie, Craig developed EFT and made the work elegant, efficient and affordable for almost anyone.

2. The Work of Byron Katie (aka "Inquiry")

Byron Katie became severely depressed in her early thirties. For almost a decade she spiraled down into depression, rage, self-loathing, and constant thoughts of suicide; for the last two years she was often unable to leave her bedroom. Then one morning in February 1986, she experienced a life-changing realization. There are various names for an experience like this. Katie calls it "waking up to reality." In that instant of no-time, she says, I discovered that when I believed my thoughts, I suffered, but that when I didn’t believe them, I didn’t suffer, and that this is true for every human being. Freedom is as simple as that. I found that suffering is optional.  She found a joy within her that has never disappeared, even for a single moment. That joy is in everyone, always. She realized that what had been causing her depression was not the world around her, but the beliefs she'd had about the world.  Instead of hopelessly trying to change the world to match her thoughts about how it should be, she could question these thoughts and, by meeting reality as it is, experience unimaginable freedom and joy.

How Can "The Work" Assist Me?

The Work is a simple yet powerful process of inquiry that teaches you to identify and question the stressful thoughts that cause the suffering in your world.  It's a way to understand what's hurting you and a way to end all your stress.  People who do "The Work" faithfully report life-changing results, such as:

* Eliminating stress: you can live without anxiety or fear
* Improving relationships: you can experience a new sense of connection and intimacy
with your husband or wife, your parents, your children, and with yourself
* Reducing anger: you can get angry less often & less intensely, and eventually not at all
* Eliminating depression: you'll see perfection in situations that were once debilitating
* Clarifying: so you can act more intelligently and effectively
* Energizing: without the painful beliefs you'll have the energy to experience a new sense
   of vigor and well-being
* Peace: learn how to love what is, and find lasting inner peace.

Here's a great video clip of Katie working with someone, illustrating the process of Inquiry ("The Work"):
He Should Be More Understanding

Katie has a "Little Book" which is a shortened version of Loving What Is and which describes the process of Inquiry, or "The Work".  Print it out, along with "The Work" Worksheets you'll find under "Links" and you can try it on your own. You can also go to her website and watch more videos of Katie working with people on common issues like, cancer, feeling overweight, grief, and etc. Like all processes, though, it is often helpful to have someone else guide you.

3. RET (Rapid Eye Technology)

RET is a natural, safe and effective way to release stress and trauma. RET simulates REM sleep, which is your body’s own natural release system. This powerful quick release happens without reliving the trauma. Accessing the whole mind/body system while in an awake state allows you to be in control of your own journey. RET empowers individuals to live a happy, productive life by releasing negative belief systems, negative thought forms, and emotions—all of which contribute to emotional stress. RET, physiologically and psychologically, opens up the neuropathways where the energetic memories of our personal and inherited traumatic experiences are trapped.  RET theory suggests that neurons in the brain stem switch on the same way they do in REM sleep, causing communication at the cellular level throughout the body. Energy confined at the cellular level by emotional or physical trauma is thus accessed, allowing energy discharge through a fast eye blinking process. Clients release issues and emotions at a comfortable rate without reliving the incidents themselves.

How Can RET Assist Me?

Do you have any personal, family or relationship patterns or issues you would like to change? Rapid Eye works to release limiting patterns and beliefs. Once free from limiting patterns and behaviors set up from the past, there is more energy available for creating a healthy, joyful future. Clients report they feel immediate benefits, experience wholeness and feel resolution in each session.
Rapid Eye Therapy has been beneficial to clients with issues such as:

4. Body Work

We refer to Body Work as anything that is addressing primarily the physical ("matter") side of the equation.  While it would seem that we might not endorse that kind of work because we realize the importance of addressing the energy or "cause" rather than the "symptoms" (body), we actually find that there are many valuable body centered therapies.  The only reason that we don't focus on them is that their effects are not long-lasting without addressing the thoughts and beliefs that caused the problem.

For example, Lily spent almost twenty years of her life struggling with (or was that against?) headaches.  She went to orthopedic surgeons, emergency rooms, acupuncturists, physical therapists, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists, dietary consultants, biofeedback therapy, rolfers, and etc.  (have you been there, done that?)  She took pain killers, changed her diet, got massages, learned Reiki, exercised, meditated, took nutritional supplements, learned relaxation techniques, wrote affirmations, attended seminars, took bach flower remedies, and much more.  All of these things offered temporary relief - anywhere from a few minutes to perhaps a day or so.

If you read Lily's bio you may be asking, why didn't the biofeedback work?  That's where she learned that her thoughts can change what's happening in her body, isn't it?  Yes, that's true.  And yes, biofeedback did work...as a matter of fact, the relaxation processes she learned there provided far greater relief than any of the others combined.  You can learn to relax your body, but what's more important is learning about (and shifting) what's making you tense in the first place, like misconceptions, arguing with reality, and limiting beliefs.  So, the key here is whether or not the relief is temporary or lasting.  And the relief from relaxation, like any of the other techniques, was still temporary...she needed to do it again and again in order to keep experiencing relief.  And that isn't the way it needs to be.

When you use EFT, RET, or The Work of Byron Katie, once you resolve an issue, it's resolved (unless some new aspect shows up, in which case a little more work may be necessary, but it's not "ongoing").  You don't have to do it every hour or day on that issue to keep experiencing relief.  And that's the way we think it should be...

Bill often utilizes Touch for Health and mineral/nutritional supplements when working with his clients when it seems like they would provide relief and/or support to the client's body, which will in turn make it easier to shift mentally/emotionally.   Lily will often incorporate relaxation processes and/or assist clients with learning biofeedback (see Item #2, Meditation and Relaxation, on the Links page) if desired, to provide a soothing backdrop from which to work mentally and emotionally.

So, by all means, get some temporary relief for your symptoms wherever you find it.  It can make a huge difference to feel a little better, even if only temporarily.  But just be sure to also utilize a tool that will help you resolve the cause...your life will be so much more pleasurable when you do.
